“We Did It For One And Only MS Dhoni,” Ravindra Jadeja Shares Heartfelt Post For Captain After CSK Won 5th IPL Trophy

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dedicated the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 victory to his skipper MS Dhoni. He said that he would anything for the keeper-batter. The Men in Yellow thumped Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5 wickets to claim their 5th title in the league. 

The wrecker-in-chief for Chennai Super Kings’ in their 5th title win was their MVP Ravindra Jadeja. The all-rounder played like a champion throughout the season as he contributed equally well with both bat and ball to help his side join Mumbai Indians in the number of titles won by a franchise in the league.

The Game went down the wire and CSK needed 13 runs off the last over. Mohit Sharma, who had bowled two brilliant overs, started the proceedings well as he execute his yorkers brilliantly and conceded just 3 runs in the first four balls. With 10 runs needed in the last two balls, not many had given CSK a chance.

But Ravindra Jadeja ignited the hopes of CSK’a fans as he smashed six on the penultimate ball and then when 4 was needed off the ball, the all-rounder guided it to the boundary and won the game for his side and win their fifth IPL title. 

Ravindra Jadeja dedicated the win to skipper MS Dhoni. Taking to his Twitter account, he posted pictures with the keeper batter and said that he can do anything for him.

IPL Final: “MS has been really supportive and proactive in getting him up there,” says Stephen Fleming on Ravindra Jadeja 

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming also lauded Ravindra Jadeja for his performances. He said that skipper MS Dhoni has supported him a lot and he repaid the faith. He pointed out the six that he hit on the penultimate ball of the game and said that he’s a gun player. He explained: 

“MS has been really supportive and proactive in getting him up there and today he repaid that faith. The six, in particular, off a ball that was very close to perfect was defining, and then a good left-hander straight drive through fine leg was a great way to finish it. I couldn’t be more happy for him. Yeah, there has been some frustration at times, but he is a gun player. No.1 ranked player and today he delivered.” 

Ravindra Jadeja, who picked 20 wickets in the IPL, will now head to England, where he will join the India team for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia from 7th June.
