“It was an amazing feeling. I am really feeling happy. This was some final. In the pend, we have done it. I was always learning with MS. Just how to deal with the players and situations. Just how he does it in these IPL games and it has always become great to be learning from MS Dhoni.”
CSK vs GT: “My eyes were full of water,” MS Dhoni after CSK’s Win
Skipper MS Dhoni was emotional after CSK’s triumph over GT in the final. He admitted that he was emotional after the team won the game. He also spoke about coming back next year and thanked the crowd for all the support. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:
“My eyes were full of water and I just stood there in the dugout for a while. I realised I want to enjoy this. It was the same thing in Chennai, it was my last game over there but it will be good to come back and play whatever I can. They love me for what I am.
“The kind of cricket I play, I think everyone in the stadium thinks they can play that way because there is nothing orthodox about it. So I feel they can relate to me more than anyone else. I don’t want to change myself, I never wanted to portray myself in a way which I am not. I just keep it simple.” He concluded.
