Team India’s Warm-up Matches Schedule For ICC World Cup 2023

The excitement for the ICC World Cup 2023 has started to take a toll on the minds of cricket lovers. The biggest carnival of cricket is all set to kick start from 5th October in India and 10 teams will fight with each other in 48 games for the crown of cricket. 

The tournament will begin with a blockbuster clash between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad whereas the final is all set to take place at the same venue on 19th November. The semi-finals are slated to take place on the 15th and 16th of November in Kolkata and Mumbai and there will be reserve days for all three knock-out games.

Going into the tournament, India will be one of the hot favorites to win the tournament as they will be in playing the home conditions. They are yet to win the ICC title since 2013 and it’ll be a great opportunity for them to end the title drought. Notably, when World Cup was played in India in 2011, they emerged victorious.

India will begin their tournament against Australia. But before that, they will be playing 2 warmup games. The Rohit Sharma-led will have a good preparation as they will first face England in the warmup game. The match will take place on 30th September in Guwahati.

After that, they will play another warmup game against Qualifier 1 on 3rd October at Thiruvananthapuram. The two games will serve as an ideal preparation for them before they head into the main tournament.

India vs Australia – 30th September at Guwahati
India vs Qualifier 1 – 3rd October at Thiruvananthapuram

ICC World Cup 2023: India’s schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023 

Indian Cricket Team will open their campaign against Australia on 8th October in Chennai before they move to Delhi for the clash against Afghanistan on 11th October. After that, they will be up against their arch-rivals. The much anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will be played on 15h October at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.

 India will then play Bangladesh in Pune on 19th October before they will shift their bases to Dharamsala for the clash against New Zealand on 22nd October.

England will be next for them after the Black Caps as they will take on defending champions on 29th October in Lucknow. The Rohit Sharma-led side will take on Qualifier 2 followed by South Africa on the 2nd and 5th of November in Mumbai and Kolkata respectively. The Men in Blue will end the league stage by playing Qualifier 1 on 11th November in Bengaluru.
