EUGENE, Ore. — Going from Fullerton’s 78º cloudless weather at first pitch Thursday night for the Titans-Gauchos game, I stepped into PK Park an hour before game time tonight and was faced with a 53º and battleship gray skies for the Oregon State-Oregon game. The forecast called for 80 percent chance of rain, but there wasn’t a drop in sight.

In his postgame press conference UO head coach Mark Wasikowski would comment, “It was great weather for a game tonight.” And it was true, a crisp, cool evening where you could dress in layers. Sure as hell beats the 110º[…]
