Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs replied to his brother, Trevon, trying to get him to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys could use some weapons for Dak Prescott, that much is known even within the organization’s walls. Why not someone like Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs? Yeah, actually, that would work really well in theory.
Recently, Stefon’s brother, Trevon Diggs, who is a defensive back for the Cowboys, took to Twitter to campaign for his brother to get to Dallas. Diggs is not a free agent, but his outburst at the end of the Bills’ season has a lot of people thinking a trade could be within the realm of possibility.
Diggs was asked about his brother’s attempts to get him to Dallas, and he didn’t exactly shut the idea of playing with his brother in Dallas down.
Stefon Diggs wants to play with his brother, but would prefer to play against him
“I always wanted to be with brother, that’s the thing. He knows that, though, so he’s playing on the heartstrings a little bit.”
Diggs went on to say he grew up a Cowboys fan but didn’t root for them when he became a professional until his brother became a Cowboy.
On playing with his brother, Stefon seems open to the idea.
“It’s a goal of mine for sure,” Diggs would say about playing with his brother. Later on in the conversation, though, Diggs seemed to hint that he would prefer to match up against his brother instead of playing in the same uniform.
“In a perfect world, you know, I know he say all the time ‘we’ll be on the same team playing in the Super Bowl’, but you know, if anything we’ll play against each other. If not, I’ll take it any way I can get it.”
Since the end of the season, Diggs’ fiery outburst on the sideline and on Twitter has, as we mentioned, created some trade speculation. It seems like Diggs is doing the work on helping repair things and moving forward in Buffalo, but if the Bills do look for a trade partner, Dallas might be pretty high-up on the list.
