Upset Impact Seed Analysis

• We had three number seeds lose Friday, along with six two-seeds. Several of those losing two seeds were among the snubbed host candidates, like Campbell, Boston College, Dallas Baptist, Southern Miss, Connecticut, and West Virginia.
• Two regionals saw both one and two seeds lose, Auburn and Stillwater.
• We average four non-host champions each season and are on pace so far.
• Last season, no team that lost its opener came back to win the regional. However, in 2021, there were two.
