Indian Cricket Team’s skipper Rohit Sharma hasn’t been able to convert his starts despite looking ominous. The right-handed batter will have to stick to the innings and play a captain’s knock against mighty Aussies where he doesn’t have a promising record against them.
The Men in Blue would be wary of the fact that this time Aussies would come well prepared as compared to the 2013 & 2017 tours where their spin woes were exposed. It won’t be wrong to say that Australia holds the edge over India given their recent success in Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
Sohail Khan on Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli
Sohail Khan was seen interacting with the YouTuber Nadir Ali and was asked about Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli
“I respect Kohli because he is a very big batsman. But as a bowler, I feel Rohit Sharma is a far better batsman than him. His technique is superb. He plays the ball very late, like he has all the time in the world. He has dominated world cricket in the last 10-12 years,” said Sohail Khan.
“Kohli scores runs based on his fitness. If he scores one run, he is immediately ready for the next. Rohit doesn’t do that. He scores one run and doesn’t even try for the next. Rohit scores with his bat. Kohli scores with his bat and by running between the wickets. Again, that is a good thing because when you are that fit, you reflect automatically,” he added.
PCB In Deep Trouble
In the last 2 ODI World Cup matches (2015 & 2019) between India & Pakistan, India convincingly thrashed Pakistan. The Men in Green haven’t been able to perform according to their credentials in WC 2023. The two sides would meet in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 where we can expect scintillating action.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially confirmed that the Asia Cup 2023 won’t take place in Pakistan. This decision comes as a shock to PCB. UAE has emerged as the most likely venue to host the event where last time in 2022 we witnessed a cracker of Asia Cup 2022.
