Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh praised Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj for his bowling in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Harbhajan Singh believes that Mohammed Siraj is bowling sensational lines and lengths, adding that no other bowler is bowling better than him at the moment.

Mohammed Siraj registered figures of 4/21 to help the Royal Challengers beat the Punjab Kings by 24 runs in Mohali on Thursday, April 20. The 29-year-old provided a brilliant start by picking up two wickets in the powerplay. He was named Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling to help RCB win their third match in the IPL 2023.

This Year Have A Massive Difference – Harbhajan Singh

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh pointed out that Mohammed Siraj has improved with his bowling, saying the RCB pacer is picking wickets without conceding many runs.

“Mohammed Siraj has been absolutely sensational with his line and length and I don’t think anyone in world cricket is bowling better than him at the moment. The Siraj of last year and this year have a massive difference as he is not only avoiding leaking runs but is also picking up wickets and terrorizing the batters,” Harbhajan Singh said.

Always Try To Improve In Every Department – Mohammed Siraj

Speaking after the match, Mohammed Siraj said that the lockdown helped him be more consistent with the ball. Siraj said that he worked hard on his plans and fitness to improve his bowling.

“The lockdown was really important for me, because I used to get hit for boundaries very often before that. I worked on my plans, my fitness and my bowling and it’s all paying dividends now. I always try to improve in every department of the game because I understand it is important to contribute in whichever way possible,” Mohammed Siraj said.

Mohammed Siraj currently holds the purple cap in the ongoing season, picking up 12 wickets with a best figure of 4/21. The right-arm pacer had an impressive economy rate of 6.71. The Hyderabad-born cricketer provided a good starts for the RCB by taking six wickets in the powerplay with an economy rate of 4.79.

Following the victory against the Punjab Kings, the Royal Challengers Bangalore climbed to fifth place in the 10-team points table of the IPL 2023. The Faf du Plessis-led team will lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals in their next match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 23.
