Punjab Kings (PBKS) assistant coach Brad Haddin says that the team’s young batter Prabhsimran Singh can prove to be a match-winner if he finds a little more consistency in IPL 2023.

Speaking about Prabhsimran Singh’s value to the team, Haddin said that he can prove dangerous with the bat, given he finds consistency.
“We’re going to back him (Prabhsimran) to play a style of cricket that we need in the first six overs, and it’s going to be a high-risk game. We’re going to see some good and bad performances. He’ll come through and we know the upside. If he can find some consistency, he’ll be a very dangerous player,” Haddin said.

Prabhsimran Singh will look to go on a more consistent run, starting with Punjab’s next match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 15.
Brad Haddin says that Prabhsimran Singh must understand his role in the team
Speaking in a press conference after the Kings’ recent loss to Gujarat Titans (GT), Brad Haddin said that opener Prabhsimran Singh should understand his role in the team’s batting order.
The former Australian batter said that Singh’s role in the team is to give a good start with the bat in the powerplay, and play attacking shots in the first six overs. he claimed that due to him playing attacking shots right at the start of the innings, Prabhsimran Singh is bound to be inconsistent.
“So, it’s about him understanding his tempo and his role. We’re going to back him to play a style of game we need in the first six overs and it’s going to be high-risk game. So, you’re going to see some good and bad performances,” said Haddin.
Prabhsimran Singh will look to score more consistently. As Shikhar Dhawan is already in prime form, both of them in tune can prove to be one of the best opening pairs in IPL 2023.
