The Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Shahrukh Khan said that he is confident about finishing the game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Shahrukh Khan scored the winning runs to help the Punjab Kings beat the Lucknow Super Giants by two wickets in the thrilling encounter at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday, April 15.

Shahrukh Khan played a brilliant cameo knock of 23 runs off 10 balls, including one four and two sixes. The Tamil Nadu batter helped the team chase down the target with three balls to spare. Earlier, The Super Giants scored 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs as KL Rahul scored 74 runs despite not getting support from the other end.

Sikandar Raza Played Superbly – Shahrukh Khan

Speaking after the match, Shahrukh Khan praised Sikandar Raza for his brilliant batting and said that Zimbabwe’s all-rounder set the platform to finish the game.

“Really feeling good, after the first innings, it was important to play a par game (in the chase). Raza played superbly and set it up for me. My mindset was just to stay with the ball, the practice is working out to me,” said Shahrukh Khan.

Sikandar Raza scored a match-defining knock of 57 runs off 41 balls with the help of four boundaries and three sixes. The all-rounder came to bat No. 5 when the team score was 45/3 and kept fighting till the end despite losing wickets at regular intervals.

Cheeky Shots Don’t Work For Me – Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan has stated that he never relies on ramp shots and prefers to play straight down the ground. Shahrukh admitted that he advised Harpreet Brar to play a big shot, but he got out.

“I’m powerful, cheeky shots don’t work for me, so I try to hit straight and it’s good to use my muscles. I just told Brar to go for the big hit since it was the last (5th) ball of the over, unfortunately, he got out, but I was confident I could finish in the last over,” he concluded.

Shikhar Dhawan missed the match due to a niggle, and Sam Curran led the team. Following the two losses, the Kings made a comeback to win the match. The Mohali-based franchise moved to 4th place in the 10-team points table.
