Gujarat Titans (GT) would be aiming for a quick turnaround against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 13th April (Thursday) after a heart-wrenching defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Hardik Pandya‘s absence (*was unwell) against KKR hurt the team a lot. Pandya can play the role of 6th bowler and at the same time can break crucial partnerships as well.
PBKS’ middle order was exposed against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It looked as if they weren’t ready for the steep challenge. Every time the veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan won’t bail out the team, he also needs support from the rest of the batting lineup if the teams want to post a competitive total.

Hardik Pandya was having an interaction with Gaurav Kapoor on a web show. Hardik Pandya gave credit to his family & his manager and stated that they have always supported him. Hardik also pointed out that they never thought that he would lead the side.

“But what has happened is a fairytale thing. Now I stand in a different place. When i went out on my sabbatical I told people before they asked me, if someone comes and takes my place I’ll be there to help out. I never doubted my skill set it was more about what do I want to do,” said Hardik Pandya.

“I’m not carrying it like a burden. If it goes away it goes away. Time does not stop. It’s a sport. When you are not attached to something it does not hurt. So I’m not worried to keep my captaincy,” he stated.
“I’m not worried about me leading this side and losing. I’m focusing on more proactive things like what can I do for this team. What can I get better at. Those are the things to focus on rather than what happens if this or that happens. India captaincy I’m very honoured, but not attached. I’m enjoying it more on the ground,” he added.
