Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer, and broadcaster advises the Gujarat Titans to start Shivam Mavi in their forthcoming match against the Punjab Kings instead of resting Yash Dayal.
The Titans and Punjab Kings (PBKS) will square off in an IPL 2023 match on Thursday, April 13. In the previous match against the defending champions, Dayal was smoked for five straight sixes off the final five deliveries by Rinku Singh, helping the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pull off an incredible victory.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recommended that Dayal step down in favour of Shivam Mavi, assuming Mavi is available, in a video previewing the forthcoming game between GT and PBKS. However, Aakash noted that the Gujarat Titans have a strong bowling squad.

He claims that even though the team currently has a potent batting lineup, adding Hardik Pandya will make them even more threatening. Hardik is known for playing aggressive cricket, thus having him on the team will be beneficial. According to Chopra, the Titans would depend largely on their batsmen to perform well and win the forthcoming games.
“Shubman Gill is batting very well. Wriddhiman Saha didn’t keep in the last match, so there might be some issue there. After that, Sai Sudharsan – is outstanding, Vijay Shankar is doing an amazing job, and David Miller is in red-hot form. The batting looks even more formidable if Hardik Pandya comes in between,” Aakash Chopra added.
