Kolkata Knight Riders have managed to remain in the ongoing game in the Indian Premier League with Venkatesh Iyer leading the charge right from the front. The batter has been solid from one end as the other batters have failed to leave a mark on the game.
With 14 overs bowled in the first innings Venkatesh Iyer is currently batting on 95* off 43 deliveries with the Knight Riders racking up 135 runs on the board at the loss of 4 wickets. Mumbai will hope to get some more wickets to stop their opponents from getting to a massive total on the board.

Apart from Venkatesh, no other batter in the team so far has been able to get past the 15 runs mark which could be a big worry for the team. However, with the in-form Rinku Singh on strike alongside Venkatesh Iyer, KKR will be eyeing to get close to 200 runs at the end of their innings.
Although Venkatesh has been leading the charge with the bat right now, the player could have departed way early in the innings as he copped a massive blow during the power play.
