KL Rahul Should Be Made To Play Domestic Cricket Before National Comeback: Laxman Sivaramakrishnan
Former India leg spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan took to Twitter to showcase his opinions on KL Rahul’s return to the Indian team. Replying to a tweet about KL Rahul’s return to the Indian team after recovering from injury, Sivaramakrishnan said that the middle-order batter should play domestic cricket first before playing for Team India.
“He (KL Rahul) should be made to play domestic cricket to assess his match fitness and batting form. Getting back into the Indian team should not be so easy, you bat in the nets and ready for international competition”, the cricketer-turned-commentator wrote.

The 57-year-old also said that someone like Sai Sudharsan should be picked to play in the middle-order.

KL Rahul is one of the crucial members of the Indian team in all three formats. However, the right-handed batsman lost his spot as India’s vice-captain after a poor show in IND vs AUS Test series. However, he gave a better performance in the ODI series against Australia as a wicketkeeper and middle-order batsman.
Meanwhile, Sai Sudharsan gave a good performance in IPL 2023 for his team Gujarat Titans. The left-handed batsman from Tamil Nadu was a crucial middle-order batsman for the team and slammed a 90-plus knock in the IPL 2023 final against CSK.
