Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh revealed that he wanted to continue with the roller-skating but his father urged him to pick the bat and play cricket for the country. He said that whatever he is today it’s because of his persuasion and belief.
Yuvraj Singh was one of the best cricketers who played for India. The Southpaw had a great impact on the game and he single-handedly won many games for the team with his ability to chip in with both bat and ball. He was one of the main reasons behind India winning the T20 World Cup 2007 and the ODI World Cup 2011.

Yuvraj Singh most believed in disappearing the ball out of the ground and his class was something one admired. The kind of strokes he used to play was amazing as he made many stands and applaud him for his heroics.

He recently revealed that he had won an Under-14 Roller skating championship and he used to spend all day playing the sport. But his father urged him to pick the bat and play cricket for India.
“I remember when I would spend all my time roller-skating around the house. I was so happy when I won the Under-14 Roller-Skating Championship. But it was my father’s wish that I pick up the bat and play cricket for my country.” Yuvraj Singh said in an Instagram post.

“I would not have become the person that I am today,” says Yuvraj Singh on his father
Yuvraj Singh further went on to say that it is all because of his father that he’s standing in this position as he used to take him for training every day. He further explained:
“And since then, there wasn’t a day that he would not take me to training on time. I think he saw himself in me. If it weren’t for his persuasion and belief, I would not have become the person that I am today.,”
Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 10th June 2019.
