Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) would be quite happy as they made it to the playoffs consecutively. The shrewd leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi took 16 wickets in 15 matches with an economy rate of 7.74. Ravi Bishnoi was quite unpredictable as his variations were hard to pick.
It won’t be wrong to say that LSG’s highlight of the tournament would be the league win against Mumbai Indians (MI). The way Krunal Pandya marshaled his troops was brilliant.
LSG were a bit too much dependent on the likes of Nicholas Pooran & Marcus Stoinis which didn’t keep the team in good stead. The management perhaps needs to trade Deepak Hooda with a quality Indian cricketer as Hooda looked in all sorts of trouble.
Watch: “MS Dhoni’s catch was the most difficult of my life” – Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi was seen interacting with the LSG’s social media handle and he was asked about his best on-field moment of the IPL 2023. Ravi Bishnoi stated that his best moment was taking the catch of CSK skipper MS Dhoni when LSG and CSK clashed at Chennai.
“(Best on-field moment of IPL 2023) Taking MS Dhoni’s catch because the Chennai Stadium was in the background at that time. When I took the catch, it felt like I took the most difficult catch of my life,” said Ravi Bishnoi.

I spent a lot of time with Deepak Hooda- Marcus Stoinis
Marcus Stoinis stated that he spent a lot of time with Deepak Hooda and pointed out that he had a lot of great moments off the field in IPL 2023.
“I have had heaps of great moments off the field. I spent a lot of time with Deepak Hooda. So, I mean, from the usual coffee stuff to visiting a temple. I spent some time back at his place, doing some training in Delhi and stuff like that. So lots of good memories,” said Marcus Stoinis.
LSG’s bowling coach Morne Morkel further opened up on the biggest talking points of IPL 2023.
“The biggest talking point was Mohsin Khan. I think with bat Nicholas Pooran, Stoinis there was Ayush Badoni. Ravi Bishnoi with the ball against KKR and bowling to Andre Russell. There are so many moments we can mention and talk about, which is great. It is not just one guy leading from the front or taking charge of every game. It’s individuals chipping in. Successful teams need individuals to stand up in different situations,” said Morne Morkel.
