India World Cup Schedule 2023: Full Schedule With PDF, Match List, Time Table, Date, Venue, and Time. The schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023 have been already announced. The BCCI are the host and will be kicking off their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.

New Zealand and England face off on October 5 in Ahmedabad to kick off the campaign officially. The World Cup will be played across 10 stadiums in the country with Mumbai and Kolkata hosting a semi-final each. Ahmedabad will host the final on November 19.

The ICC World Cup 2023 will be played in the round-robin format with all the top teams playing each other once in the league stage. The top four sides will make the knockouts with the top two playing the final. The format remains the same as the 2019 World Cup. The Men in Blue last won an ICC title in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni which was the ICC Champions Trophy. Since then it has been a decade that India have been waiting for their next ICC title.

The Men in Blue have lost repeatedly in the semifinals and finals of ICC events in the last decade with the team facing severe criticism for not winning an ICC final. They have lost as many as nine ICC finals in the last decade with the latest of them being the ICC T20 World Cup semi-final against England.

Rohit Sharma will be leading the side in this ICC event. He along with Virat Kohli will be the two key batters on who the entire nation will be pinning their hopes. Among the bowlers, the return of Jasprit Bumrah is the biggest concern of the home team at the moment. The lead pacer has been out with a back injury since the T20 World Cup last year and also missed the WTC final against Australia recently.

Among the batters, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are also recovering from their respective injuries. In their absence, the middle order is looking very weak currently.

KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan were both retained for the upcoming Test series against West Indies. For the ODIs, Sanju Samson was recalled into the side along with Ishan Kishan as the other option.
