ICC World Test Championship Final: “It Was A Good Delivery But You See That…”

Indian Cricket Team had a terrible start to Day 3, the wicket-keeper batter KS Bharat was dismissed without troubling the scorers. KS Bharat came into bat at the No.7 position as Ravindra Jadeja was given the promotion to no,6. Ravindra Jadeja played a quick-fire knock of 48 runs in 51 balls and struck 7 fours and 1 six.

The pitch has started to deteriorate as it won’t be easy for the likes of Rahane & Shardul to dictate the terms against the pacers. All eyes would be on Rahane as the batter looked in sublime touch on Day 2 when the rest of the batters failed to make a mark except Jadeja.

Skipper Pat Cummins needs to use Starc as a secret weapon as his overs would be quite pivotal. The left-arm pacer was a bit expensive on Day 2 but got the priced wicket of Virat Kohli which changed the complexion of the match.

India will not only have to reduce the deficit and avoid the follow-on but they have to bat last on the surface which won’t be easy by any means. The duo of Shardul & Rahane will have to play out of their skin to make a comeback in the match as India is trailing by 317 runs which is massive.

There you are in the rush to get the landmark-   Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar was having an interaction with Sports Today and stated that Ravindra Jadeja should have shown some resistance when the batter was on 48 runs. Sunil Gavaskar pointed out that Ravindra Jadeja was in a rush to attain the landmark.

“He could have not been looking at his call. Batting on 48, (could have) looking to play at the delivery to get two runs so maybe a single. This is one of the reasons I do believe that at the Test level, you keep a fair idea what your score is but not exactly how many you are,” said Sunil Gavaskar.

“There you are in the rush to get the landmark… 100 or 50. It was a good delivery but you see that he has pushed out at the delivery and so he’s got out,” he added.
