Virat Kohli is currently representing India in the World Test Championship (WTC) against Australia at the Oval in London. The 34-year-old started well and looked to be in good touch during India’s first inning. However, the right-handed batter was dismissed for just 14 runs by Mitchell Starc.

While speaking to the host and commentator Jatin Sapru on Star Sports, Virat Kohli said that he always felt that he would play for India at the top level.
“I always had this convinced feeling that I’d play at the top level. It was just the case of performing and going up step by step, but deep down I knew that I could reach somewhere,” Virat Kohli said.
The Delhi-born cricketer said that he will feel happy every time he goes to his home to meet his family members and added that it is beyond everything for him.
“I feel happy when I go back home, and that happiness is consistent. It is not dependent on some result or how the day has gone on the field. It is beyond everything,” he continued.
Virat Kohli said that it is important for him to take care of his mother and added that every little thing that makes her happy makes him happy.
“I have always felt like taking care of my mother is very important to me. So, for me even today a small thing that can make her happy is the thing that makes me happy,” he concluded.
