Pakistan Cricket Board officials (PCB) have kept two major points after their discussion with ICC delegates Chairman, Greg Barclay, and Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice, which concluded on Tuesday after a two-day meeting. After in-depth discussions on various matters, the PCB officials asked ICC to agree with them on two points.
Firstly, the board officials want ICC to increase the revenue share for PCB. The apex board has proposed a new revenue model for the 2024-27 season. Based on the new model, India would claim 38.5%, while England and Australia would pocket 6.89% and 6.25% respectively. Pakistan will be earning 5.75% of the ICC’s projected earnings.

PCB Demands Higher Revenue From ICC For India-Pakistan Matches
As per Cricket Pakistan, the PCB has asked to increase its share of revenue and demanded a higher share in the profits. They said that the India-Pakistan matches are a great source of revenue for the ICC and hence Pakistan should be in a position to get a much higher share of the profits. PCB also countered saying that the difference in the revenue share between the two boards is by no means acceptable.
Their second major point was about the upcoming ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy. The PCB officials said that Pakistan will travel to India for the ODI World Cup on one condition which is that the Indian team will need to travel to Pakistan to play the next edition of the Champions Trophy. Pakistan will be hosting the event in 2025.

Currently, India and Pakistan only play in ICC tournaments due to the cross-border tension between the two countries. As per reports in Cricket Pakistan, the ICC officials will discuss PCB’s reservations with the BCCI to find a middle path so that both parties are satisfied. The decision on the same will be a path-breaking one for both the countries and their cricketing relations in the future.
The minutes of the meeting between the ICC and PCB officials and the official details about the meetings will be announced on Thursday. The ICC officials will be leaving for Dubai late at night on Wednesday.
