Delhi Capitals skipper David Warner, on Tuesday (April 11), left everyone surprised by batting right-handed in the ongoing IPL 2023 match against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

David Warner is not new to changing his batting stance on the cricket field. In 2019 while he was plying his trade in the Bangladesh Premier League, he had batted right-handed. In the 19th over of the game, he took guard right-handed against Chris Gayle midway through the 19th over of the Sylhet Sixers innings against Rangpur Riders.

He faced three balls and scored 14 runs. After that, he was seen batting as a right-handed batsman in the nets on several occasions. And the star batsman was at it again on Tuesday (April 11) while facing young spinner Hrithik Shokeen.

The incident took place during the 8th over of Delhi Capitals’ innings. The third ball of the over was a no-ball on which Manish Pandey took a single to give David Warner the strike for the free hit. And the southpaw left everyone utterly surprised by switching his stance. He, however, could not make the most of the free-hit.
