Ahead of IND vs AUS ICC World Test Championship final 2023, India head coach Rahul Dravid said that David Warner is a class player and the Indian team needs to get his wicket early on in the match. David Warner is part of Australia’s squad for the ICC World Test Championship final.
The former Aussie skipper is also expected to open the innings for his team. Although the left-handed batsman has shown poor form this year in Test with just 36 runs across 4 innings, David Warner is among the most experienced batter for Australia with over 100 Tests in his kitty.

Important To Get David Warner’s Wicket Early On: Rahul Dravid
While speaking in the press conference ahead of IND vs AUS ICC World Test Championship final, India head coach Rahul Dravid opened up on how David Warner can be a lethal batter for India to face. He said that Warner is a class player and it is not easy to get him out.
“He (David Warner) is a class player. It’s not as simple as just turning up and bowling round the wicket and getting him out. He wouldn’t have played a hundred times if it was that simple”, Rahul Dravid said.

Dravid also reckoned that dismissing Warner as early as possible will be important for India.
“There’s nowhere to hide any more, everyone has very similar information about each other. It’s just how you counter that. Every batsman will have areas they’re strong at and areas that are not probably their strengths, and David has been very successful. We know it’s a very important wicket to get early on,” Dravid further said.
ICC World Test Championship final 2023 begins on June 7 (Wednesday). The match takes place at Kennington Oval Stadium in London. Rohit Sharma will lead India in the match while Pat Cummins is the skipper of Australia.
While India grabbed the 2nd spot in ICC World Test Championship 2023 points table to qualify for WTC final 2023, Australia topped the points table to get a berth in the final. The winner of the match will lift the WTC final 2023 trophy.
