Gujarat Titans pacer Mohit Sharma has credited Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni for his success. He said that his good results came under the keeper batter and credit goes to him for getting the best out of him.
Mohit Sharma made his debut for Gujarat Titans in their last game against Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The pacer had a memorable debut as he bowled some great lines and lengths and trouble the opposite batters to put his team in driving seat.

Mohit then backed his first over and exhibited brilliant death-bowling skills. He removed Sam Curran also and returned with exceptional figures of 2/18 in his quota of 4 overs. His staggering bowling saw GT restricting PBKS to a total of 153 runs.

Mohit Sharma, who played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as well, was awarded Player of the Match for his sensational performance. Notably, he last year worked as a net bowler with Gujarat Titans. He went unsold in the IPL auction and then worked hard with the team in the nets.
Mohit Sharma said that he’s enjoying his game and also pointed out the golden period in his career. Speaking to PTI, he said:

“Majority of my IPL and India career has been under Mahi bhai. My good results have come under him, big credit goes to him for getting the best out of me. But what matters more for me is how much you are enjoying the game. 2023-206 was the golden period in my career but in terms of environment it is the best I have experienced in the IPL.”
GT vs RR: “Yash could have played but he had fever,” says Mohit Sharma
Mohit Sharma also revealed that Yash Dayal wasn’t dropped but had a fever and that’s why couldn’t play. He also credited GT management for creating a healthy environment. He elaborated:
“Nobody replaces anyone in this team. Yash could have played but he had a fever that is why he could not play. If I played, it was due to the circumstances. I spoken to him at length post match also. He was sitting with me after the game. The whole credit goes to management for creating this environment on and off the field. It is the most important thing for a franchise.”
Mohit Sharma will be next seen in action when Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their next game on Sunday (16th April).
