Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir has denied any conflicts with Babar Azam. Mohammad Amir had earlier spoken against Babar Azam saying that he doesn’t see him as a powerful batsman in the T20I format.
Babar Azam is the current captain of the Pakistan team in all three formats. Although Azam has got applause and laurels with his batting records, he has sometimes come under the wrath of some former Pakistani players over his leadership.

Babar Azam Is Not My Ex-Fiancé That I Won’t Like Him- Mohammad Amir
During an interview with a local Pakistan TV channel, former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir was asked about his relationship with Babar Azam. To this, Amir replied that Babar Azam has always respected him. He also made a sarcastic comment that Azam is not his ex-fiancé and that he would not like him.
“Babar was my junior when I was playing for Pakistan, and he has always respected me. Babar is not my ex-fiance that I won’t like him”, Amir said.

The left-arm pacer had earlier mentioned that he doesn’t feels that Babar Azam is a strong batsman in the shortest format. However, he believes that the Pakistan captain has a good might in Tests and ODI when it comes to batting.
“I have always said that he is a great batter in Tests and ODIs. In T20s, I have a different opinion related to him. As a bowler, I don’t see Babar as threatening in T20 format,” Amir further said.

Babar Azam is considered one of the strongest batsmen to play for Pakistan. However, his captaincy has come under scrutiny in the last two years. Under his leadership, Pakistan lost Asia Cup 2022 final to Sri Lanka and ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final to England.
Pakistan also faced a whitewash in a Test series 3-0 against England in December 2022 at home which ended their chances of qualifying for ICC World Test Championship final. Pakistan recently played a five-match ODI series against New Zealand earlier this month which they won 4-1.
