England skipper Ben Stokes has a job at hand with his team needing 257 runs more runs to win the second Test at Lord’s. England were asked to chase 371 by Australia in the fourth innings and the side have lost half their side in the quest to get the runs.

Stokes completed his 13th Test ton on day 5 of the Lord’s Test as he keeps his team in the fight. He has seen wickets fall at the other end including a bizarre dismissal involving Jonny Bairstow. He is now batting with the tail as Australia are looking to take the final four wickets.

A loss in this Test match will peg England back by way in the series. They will then need to win all the next three Test matches to win the series. Australia are the current Ashes winners having won 4-0 back home in the 2021-22 season.

Meanwhile, Stokes created the perfect moment on fay 5 as he almost recreated England’s 2019 World Cup final moment at Lord’s. He dabbed a delivery from Cameron Green towards cover and rain for a quick single. Marnus Labuschagne was quick to get to the ball and throw it towards the stumps.
